SwingPractis Support: Upgrading Windows Media PlayerIf you do not have Windows Media Player version 9 or higher, you may see the following message when you run SwingPractis:
"Entry point not found: WMCreateWriter in wmvcore.dll."
A newer version of Windows Media Player is included in Windows XP Service Pack 2, which contains a number of vital security updates as well. We recommend updating to the latest Service Pack to all our customers. To do this, run Windows Update. There is usually an option for this in your Start Menu. If not, it can be run manually by visiting Microsoft's Windows Update Website with Microsoft Internet Explorer. Alternatively, if you do not want to install the latest service pack, you can update Windows Media Player manually. To do this, launch Windows Media Player. Its icon can usually be found in your Start Menu Programs menu, or under Programs/Accessories/Entertainment. Once it has been run, look in its Help menu. Here, you can select "About Windows Media Player" to learn the version number. If this version is less than 9.0, go back to the Help menu and select the "Check For Updates..." option. The program will guide you through the update process. Copyright 2004-2010 IGOLPING, Inc • Privacy Statement • 866-507-4440
