SwingPractis Support

SwingPractis is quite easy to install and use. If you are experiencing problems, you might first check out our Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page. It contains answers to many questions about how to install and use SwingPractis.
 
If you are unsure how to use SwingPractis, you can find a number of instructional videos that show how to use its various features.

Troubleshooting Guide
Problem Possible Cause Solution
SwingPractis will not install Operating System: Your computer runs an earlier version of Windows, such as Windows ME, 98 or 95.

Currently, SwingPractis only supported on Windows XP, Service Pack 2. Although it's not officially supported, some users have been able to run in on fully-patched installs of Windows 2000.

You see the following message when you run SwingPractis:
"Entry point not found: WMCreateWriter in wmvcore.dll."
You do not have Windows Media Player version 9 or higher installed. Update Windows Media Player.
You see the following message when you run SwingPractis:
"Can not display video. Your video drivers may be out of date, or your computer may not have enough video memory available. Try upgrading your video drivers or reducing the resolution or number of colors on your desktop display."
This error may have a number of causes. Windows Media Player or DirectX might not be up-to-date, you may not have enough video memory, or your video driver may be out of date. Update Windows Media Player/DirectX/Video Driver.
You do not see the Record tab on the main screen.
  1. You are not a subscriber to the Inpractis PlayersClub or are not licensed for SwingPractis Pro.
  2. The local copy of your feature license has expired.
If you are a subscriber to the Inpractis PlayersClub/licensed for SwingPractis Pro: First, insure that your Internet connection is working. Second, start SwingPractis and Log In. This will refresh your feature licenses. After logging in, exit the application and restart. This will force a redraw of the user interface with all licensed features.
In SwingPractis Pro, the swing motion controls
and the Lesson recording controls
are missing Lesson Mode.
  1. You are not licensed for SwingPractis Pro.
  2. The controls are disabled from the Options menu.
In Lesson mode in the Options menu, make sure that the items Advanced Controls and Recording Controls are checked.
