The Classic Swing, Position 8: Release

After impact where the clubshaft is parallel to the ground.
Face-On Target Line
The head is now moving closer to the target and rotating with the shoulders. There is absolutely no attempt to keep the head down or back after impact as it restricts the proper extension of the arms and rotation of the body. The left leg is nearly straight as the weight moves on top of the left foot while the rotation of the body pulls the right heel off the ground. The left hand is now visible below the right arm as the arms "roll" through the impact cycle. This is simply the club continuing "on-plane" after impact. The left hip continues its connection with the Tush Line while the head begins to move up and around towards the finish. There is a visible space between the arms and the right hip during release. This illustrates the 'out and around' quality the club takes during impact and into the finish. The right arm is now parallel to the target line with the club in its correct location slightly outside or to the right of the hands.
