The Classic Swing, Position 9: Halfway Through

After impact where the right arm is parallel to the ground.
Face-On Target Line
The chest is now even with the Shoulder Line and the head begins to move past the circle. The correct release position continues to be visible as both elbows are at the same height, both arms are extended, and the left hand is seen below the right. The clubshaft angle is similar to that in the backswing at the Halfway Back position, as it creates a 90 degree angle with the right arm. This is consistent with the proper on-plane release of the club. The eyes attempt to catch up to the ball causing the head and shoulders to work up and around after impact. Attempting to keep the head down in this position will create numerous problems with the ball flight and jeopardize the health of the back. Approaching the finish, the hips continue to rotate while making contact with the Tush Line, allowing the weight to move into the left heel. The clubshaft exits the body slightly lower than the left shoulder with an extension of the clubshaft pointing back towards the target line.
